orthopaedic stockinette is ideally designed to protect
and shield the skin prior to the application of plaster
of paris or fibre glass casts.
Tubular-Rib is made from 100% Cotton and is quick and
easy to apply, providing effective protection for every
part of the body.
Tubular-Rib Application Guide:
1. Measure length of the limb to be cast, allowing
approx. 5cm extra at either end.
2. Gently roll Tubular-Rib onto the limb. A split will
be required at the thumb site for arm cast.
3. Apply undercast padding over the Rib, ensuring bony
prominences are well protected.
4. Apply 1st layer of cast, while still wet roll back
Rib over each end of the cast to create cuff.
5. Smooth Rib into the wet casting material.
6. Continue with the casting material, ensuring subsequent
layers do not extend over the cuff.
